BioACTIVE+ Nootropic CBD Spray

with Terpenes, Curcumin and Echinacea

Infused with nootropic compounds and active nutrients that aid bioavailability, allowing your body to absorb significantly more cannabinoids per dose, HydroCBD is the all-natural nootropic formulation that serves as one of the most orally bioavailable sources of cannabidiol (hereinafter referred to as CBD). It's also organic, vegan and GMO-free.

HydroCBD is cultivated from 100% organic, Dutch-grown Hemp, synergistically combined with Curcumin, a unique blend of Terpenes and Echinacea in what' s called the BioActive+ Formula. New version of 2.5% is made using pure CBD crystals instead of just regular CBD paste. Solution is now thin enough to be applied as a spray - new bottles come with convenient spraytops. One bottle contains 100 sprays that each delivers 2.5mg CBD.

The result is a tangy/sweet, water-soluble CBD which is easily absorbed and used by the body. The ingredients found within the formula exhibit strong benefits, shown to be useful as antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, cognitive enhancers, neuroprotectants, anticonvulsants, anxiolytics and antibiotics.

Water Soluble CBD is Absorbed Faster

Cannabinoids are fat-soluble compounds which have a poor bioavailability, typically between 6 - 12%, and therefore usually require a higher dose. Human blood is made up largely of water, so before the cannabinoids can reach the circulatory system, they must be bound to lipoproteins which ensure that the cannabinoids are soluble in water and thus also in blood.

The BioActive+ Formula uses a process which works by extracting the cannabinoids from the plant and then blending them with curcuminoids, terpenoids, and other ingredients to create microsized CBD particles. These microparticles are more easily absorbable and easier to transport inside the body, which means superior results in comparison with olive and hemp seed oil CBD. Because the bioavailability is greatly improved, the medicinal effects of cannabis extracts based on the BioActive+ formula are additionally enhanced, all at a lower dose and a lower cost.

Since our formula ensures that the cannabinoids dissolve well in water, there are numerous possible applications, such as adding a few drops to your tea or coffee.

The BioActive+ Formula consists of 100% organic and very pure ingredients of the highest quality. A plant extract based on the BioActive+ Formula gets maximally absorbed by the body, and contains all the essential terpenes that are naturally occurring in the hemp plant. It contains N-alkylamides derived from the Echinacea plant, curcuminoids obtained from Curcuma (turmeric), and small amounts of vitamin E. This creates a natural synergistic action and maximum bioavailability, which is vastly superior to regular extracts based on olive oil or hemp seed oil.

What is Cannabidiol (CBD) and how does it work?

Cannabidiol is one of the most important compounds among 80+ phytocannabinoids found naturally in the cannabis plant. Unlike THC this compound does not give any 'high' or direct euphoria, but it possesses numerous beneficial and medical effects. Research has demonstrated CBD to have a range of effects that may be therapeutically useful, including anti-seizure, anti-emetic, antioxidant, neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-tumor, anti-psychotic, and antianxiety properties.

According to a 2013 review published in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, CBD possesses the following medical properties 1:

Medical Properties of CBD

Effects

Antiemetic (anti-nausea)

Reduces nausea and vomiting,  making it useful in treating chemotherapy and AIDS patients

Anticonvulsant

Suppresses seizure activity, making it useful in treating epilepsy

Antipsychotic

Combats psychosis disorders, useful in treating schizophrenia and other psychotic symptoms

Anti-inflammatory

Combats inflammatory disorders – making it useful in treating multiple sclerosis and other neuroinflammatory disorders

Antioxidant

Combats neurodegenerative disorders – making it useful in treating Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease and numerous other neurodegenerative disorders

Anti-tumoral/Anti-cancer

Combats tumor and cancer cells

Anxiolytic/Antidepressant

Reduces anxiety and depression disorders -useful in treating various sleep disorders.2 The antidepressant and anxiety-reducing effects of CBD appear to be mediated by alterations in serotonin receptor 1a signaling

Neuroprotective

Possibly useful for neurodegenerative disorders like Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimers, Parkinson’s and also in people recovering from alcohol or substance abuse

Enhanced with Nootropic benefits

The addition of certain Terpenes, Echinacea and Curcumin not only contribute towards the bioavailability of the formula; each of these compounds also provide unique health benefits.

CurcuminFrom Turmeric

Curcumin has strong anti-inflammatory action. In addition it is a strong antioxidant with nootropic neuroprotective benefits and it is able to boost nerve growth factor (NGF) and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF),3 antidepressant effect by increasing serotonin and dopamine through its inhibition of monoamine oxidase enzymes. 4

Alkylamides from EchinaceaFrom Echinacea Purpurea

Alkylamides from Echinacea Purpurea. are potent natural Cannabinomimetics and immunostimulants through interaction with the CB2 receptors. Studies show that echinacea helps the body to fight off sickness and accelerate the rate of recovery.5, 6

Together with CBD and Carophyllene this creates a powerful synergy since all three ingredients in our formula interact with the CB2 receptors.

Terpenes

Terpenes are the ingredients of the plant which cause the volatile flavor and odor of the plant. In the extraction process, most of the terpenes are lost which is a pity because the terpenes have important medicinal value and work in synergy with the cannabinoids, leading to more rapid onset of muscle relaxation and a reduction in the time to maximum effect than the cannabinoids alone.7 Therefore, our BioActive+ delivery formula contains all terpenes that occur naturally in the cannabis plant with an extra high dose of the five most important terpenes; myrcene, linalool, caryophyllene, limonene and pinene.8

β-CaryophylleneAlso found in Black Pepper

B-Caryophyllene can also be found next to cannabis in various herbs and spices, especially clove, Copaiba and black pepper. In its concentrated form, it is a local analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent and therefore an efficient remedy for things like alleviating a toothache. This terpene is very special due to neuroprotective and antidepressant effects, and is furthermore a valuable addition to the formula, because of its ability to the selectively activate the cannabinoid 2 (CB2) receptors.10

α-PineneAlso found in Pine Needles

Pinene is common in pine needles. Even the smallest quantities of the substance acts as a bronchodilator and has anti-inflammatory,12 antibacterial and antibiotic properties. Furthermore, it improves cerebral blood circulation and has a general invigorating and refreshing effect. Research has demonstrated that this substance has antidepressant effects and works as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor like many memory-enhancers and anti-dementia drugs, and can enhance memory and promote mental concentration including alertness through this mechanism.13-15 In addition Pinene has antitumor effects.16

MyrceneAlso found in Hops

Myrcene is the most prevalent terpene in cannabis, but is virtually absent from hemp. Myrcene helps you battle sleeping disorders, has analgesic action, works as an antipsychotic factor, helps on diabetes management, reduces muscle spasms and also is used as an antibacterial. Furthermore, it enhances the medicinal effect of cannabinoids and certain other herbs and medicines.9

LinaloolAlso found in Lavender

Linalool is currently being investigated for the treatment of various cancers and as an antidepressant. It also has a calming effect which reduces anxiety and stress. In addition, linalool also has analgesic and anticonvulsant activity and helps promote a peaceful sleep.14-15, 17

LimoneneAlso found in Citrus

Limonene is a component of citrus fruits and many other plant species. It is the primary flavor component in oranges. Limonene strengthens the immune system, reduces anxiety, has an antidepressant effect and is antimutagenic. 11

Safety

Several studies suggest that CBD is non-toxic, does not alter psychomotor or psychological functions and does not affect physiological parameters like heart rate, blood pressure or body temperature. A 2011 review by Dr. Bergamaschi, et.al concludes that CBD “does not interfere with several psychomotor and psychological functions” and the authors add that several studies suggest that CBD is “well tolerated and safe” even with chronic use at high doses of up to 1500mg a day.18

A 2012 study by Stanley et al, published in British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, investigated the cardiovascular effects of CBD and concluded it only has beneficial effects; "In vivo, CBD treatment does not appear to have any effect on resting blood pressure or heart rate, but does reduce the cardiovascular response to various types of stress. In vivo, CBD treatment has a protective role in reducing the effects of cardiac ischemia and reperfusion, or in reducing cardiac dysfunction associated with diabetes. Similarly, CBD has a protective role in reducing the ischemic damage in models of stroke, partly due to maintaining cerebral blood flow. 19
